In-depth Look at The Dragon's LAIR

If you’re a game fanatic you probably know the past week was pretty heavy in gaming media. The events held in San Francisco brought to light some big titles headed to gamers in the near future. If you’re looking for some good coverage of the events then check out gametrailers.com, they’ve got some good quality in-depth stuff.
Amongst the numerous titles was Factor 5's big PS3 exclusive Lair, which has gained much attention in the past few weeks. No surprise since this game just keeps looking better and better, while also showing off some of the possibilities with the PS3, mainly through the use of sixaxis. The game supposedly just hit alpha, so we can expect more from the game yet sill... like some gorgeous 1080p game play. And if you fear this games going to end up being rogue squadron with dragons, fear not for Factor 5 seems to have gone to great lengths to make this game different or "physical" as Eggebrecht describes it. The game brings some wii-like gestures and a deep combat system, Eggebrecht went as far as to calling it a fighting game in one sense of game play. I got to admit some of the combos and chains you can pull of look promising, especially those that use the sixaxis controls. Definitely check out these in-depth looks courtesy of gamevideos.com and gametrailers.com.

Oh Sooo Heavenly... *drools*

What can I say... this game has to be one if not the most heavily anticipated games exclusive to the PS3. Many compare it to God Of War but 3 fighting styles on the fly with the click of a button put it on a whole new plane of existence for me. And these graphics.... jeeez, blows my mind, cheer up Sony looks like a system seller to me. If you haven't already seen this bad@#$ chick in action go watch some of the early game play demos. And let me just say this game looks so much better now, looks like the team at Ninja Theory has been hard at work. I for one cannot wait for this game, September may not be soon enough =P. Definitely check out the new screens and concept art at Gamepro.com

Some Kick@#$ Stranglehold Action

Here are some new screenshots form the upcoming John Woo presents Stranglehold game. From what I've seen of this game we can expect these to be legitimate in game graphics. Not to mention game play and cut scenes in this game are almost seamless. Did I mention i love next gen graphics. Check out more here at IGN.com

Wreak Some Havok in WWII

Umm... ya, Scratch That Bioshock Not For PS3 Afterall?

It seems as though semi-official Sony blog three speech's claim was nothing other than wishful thinking. Can we blame them though the game looks gorgeous. Three Speech did at least admit the mistake and printed a retraction:

"Um, scratch what was said in the previous story about BioShock. We’ll confirm either way as soon as we can. Meantime, consider Three Speech’s Easter eggs confiscated…"

Meh... the three speech article still brings to light a hopeful future for PS3 owners and the PlayStation brand.

PS3 Line-Up Drops Big in September

Semi-official Sony blog sets release month for Heavenly Sword, Lair, Killzone, Rachet & Clank, Warhawk; mentions PS3 editions of BioShock and Wipeout.

With PS3’s now available on a global scale, owners and buyers alike may still be looking to justify that sexy piece of hardware that reaches well into your savings account. With a launch line-up that was well… short lived, gamers are looking for an end to the software drought that’s been haunting the PS3. Although there has been the limited supply of games and demos finding their way to the PSN and the recent release of Motor Storm, not too many of us are as thrilled as Phil Harrison to say the least. So it would seem we have to remain gazing wishfully at the promised future of PS3 delights. However, it would seem that this future is not as far off as many have assumed. According to Sony’s semi-official blog three speech, the release dates of a handful of well needed and heavily anticipated PlayStation 3 games have been narrowed down to September.

“September is shaping up to be a big month for PS3 games. That’s when we’ll see Heavenly Sword, the ultra-responsive arena-based swordfighting game, innovative dragon-fighting game Lair and the air, foot and vehicle combat game WarHawk, which is still looking likely to be released over the PlayStation Network rather than in the shops. First-person shooter Killzone, too, should surface in September, as well as the first PS3 version of Ratchet & Clank.”

The post goes further to mention some highly expected future releases like Sing Star, MGS 4, Final Fantasy XIII, and GT5 among many others. There were also some eyebrow-raising claims of an HD Wipeout slated to release as well as BioShock for the PS3. A Sony Representative was quick to point out that Three Speech is a semi-official blog handled by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and said the only game on the list with a confirmed US date is Lair, which should arrive in July.
